Whatsup everyone. although i dont have an s2k(yet) i really want one. for all my life i was thinking of what kind of car i really have a desire to get, and i feel the s2k is definitely the choice.

I think the S is a handful for a new driver, IMO. First and foremost, it's gonna' cost you a small fortune to insure it. Second, it's really not practical... When your girlfriend decides she wants you to take her to the mall with her friends, you'll be left in the cold (well, maybe that's a good thing in this case.

Third, there's very little room for "stuff," like surfboard and barbecues and hula skirts, like you Hawaiins like.

Seriously, I love the car to pieces, but give the practicality aspects some serious thought... 17 is a great age, and the S is not the most "social" car in the world.

Two things you need to consider (well maybe three). Insurance is $$$, tires are $$$, and there is no traction control on this car before 2006. Its kind of like an acrobat without a net - fun, but risky. Its a good car in terms of reliability, but depending on your driving experience, you might prefer a Miata for the lower $$$ and power.
