seriously, you seem illogical when you people flame me. of course you know more about a s2000 than me... I don't drive one yet and you do.

Thank you for the possitive comments. I want to know more about the car and less about the flaming. pinchy i like you, u know the GT-S also, the blip in the cam transition im hearing is from the "feeling" campaign that toyota had and it made the car feel faster than it is. get an ecu and they tune it out obviously. when turbo, people can't even feel the transition of cams.

CKit, you do realize the s2000 also makes shit for power outside of 6k-8k like the celica right? great comment though...

Too clarify the top came down and hit the 2 things you plug in and it looked like his side got stuck so he retrackted it back and it was fine. idk, happened in a split second and i felt like maybe i should have slowed down on closing the top when it got closer to the windshield

Now now little boy, he already said the S2k stuck to the road better than the Celica.

The "POS Celica" comment you just made shows how little you know about different cars other than your Mommy's S2K.

I came from a Celica GT-S 6sp to a S2000 and this S2000 performs much better than the Celica Stock for Stock given that it has bigger wheels, RWD, LSD, lower center gravity, torq, shap, etc.

Now the V-Tech is not impressive to you is because the transition between the two cams are MUCH MUCH smoother than the GT-S.

The GT-S Jumps at 6200 in Lift so you would think "OOOOOOOOH MANNNNN" but in reality, Jumping curve is a bad thing.

You want the power curve to be as smooth as possible like the S2000.

And yes, you should not, and cannot compare these two cars because they are completely different class.

I miss my GT-S but I love my S2000, it offers the best overall Performance, Looks package. Best of all, its TOP LESS.....
First off....not mommy's S2000, I pay for everything thanks. Dumbass. Kind of childish of you to assume things like that.

Second, shows you how much you know commenting on "Vtech".....the phone company. Once again...dumbass.
Shows you how much YOU actually know about different cars...and your own for that matter. If you're going to insult someone at least make a good point. You just made yourself look like an idiot....rightfully so because you are one for making assumptions.

Now, with that said....
wait thats all I had to say.

This is coming from a celica GT-S 6 speed with same red line.

Things i noticed
1. HOLY $H!7 this thing is small, no room for a 6 foot 180lb dude
There have been plenty of taller/heavier people to drive the S2000 daily. Some of made modifications to the seat/rails to get a better fit if needed based on their own specific dimensions.
2. from the "sex in a s2k thread", you better be a midget to pull that off

3. whats up with the big button on the left to switch from am to fm? was that really needed?
Honda's attempt to maintain symmetry of the dash controls. It's been bitched about before, but I don't think it's worth worrying about.
4. stuck to the road a lot better than my celica GT-S, ALOT BETTER

5. the 6 speed was not as smooth as my c-60 tranny...i herd this thing was smooth? maybe the lady before poorly maintained it?
The S2000 6 speed has been described as very mechanical. It can be notchy if not broken in, heated up, and/or if the fluid needs to be changed.
6. vtec'd once and it wasn't to impressive.

Questions
1. Where is the VSC button? i couldn't find it then i went looking in the glove box...lol yeah that was funny
VSC wasn't added to the S2000 until 2006.
2. where is the gas lid thingy?
Inside the driver's door jam.
3. the req'd maint thing was on..that mean oil change or?
The required maintenance light is just a mileage counter. Chances are the maintenance has been performed and the light hasn't been reset.
4. i closed the top thinking it would be fine but one of the things got stuck...i guess you close it slower than opening eh? well at least when it gets close to closing? idk, im a noob to convertables.
I don't know what you mean.

[QUOTE]In general i didn't like the car all that much based on having him in it...im more of a solo driver.

Um, I agree that V-Tech isn't too impressive, but only because they make shitty phones compared to say.......... my Panasonic.

What the hell does it have to do with cams or a GT-S?

You didn't make an assumption that the Celica is a POS? I find it to be a nice car for the 20k range. consumer reports rated it a best buy for a long time also. I trust them more than some shmoe who has probably never even test driven one. POS, i think not. Car worth comparing to an s2k? not unless you daily drive one and are thinking about daily driving a s2k. makes sense that i would compare them then huh?

I don't doubt that the Celica is a decent car, I've just never been one to drive a chick car.

You're right I didn't make an assumption, I gave my personal experience with the vehicle. I have driven a Celica GT-S......Piece Of Sh*t.
Just my opinion, deal with it. Plus I realize I was kind of harsh on you with that first comment, but hey, it doesn't feel so good when people talk trash about a car you've owned or do own does it?
Don't dish out what you can't take..... The Celica to me is a FWD POS and it always will be.
