I've owned over 30 different cars ; the S2000 is all the sports car I've ever needed. It does everything I ask of it and it has never let me down in any expectation. This is the only car I've had where you and the car become ONE.
Even after driving a friend's NSX ,which I thought would be better,I still come away being more impressed with the S2000.
The only time I've been disappointed is when I didn't spend enough time driving the car.

95% chance he's not buying the car but just fantasizing anyway, we can all rest in peace ;p
Yeah im driving 2400 miles just for fun and i put a grand down to hold the car till i get there just for shits and giggles . wow, im still amazed by some people's comments on this site, i'll get used to them though.
I only drove the car for about 5 miles but LOVED how it stuck to the road like glue. Was definately nice, i can see myself having fun with that. Im thinking about making a thread and posting updates as i am traveling like a few others have done. I just need to buy a cheap beater for winter now
Well this thread certainly wen't downhill fast. The Celica is a wonderul car for a front-driver in the low 20s. It's a great car period. Isn't it the last (most recent) car to have the "old school" VTEC delivery?

You give me great hope on adjusting to the comfort. First drive in the car will be 1180 miles according to mapquest. This will take place in about 2 weeks now.
I too am a little under 6ft and 290 lbs.
I fit perfectly fine, being a little wider around the beltline in this car just means you won't slide around in the seat when cornering.
I got my '05 Silverstone/Red a little over a month ago and I haven't stopped smiling yet. I'm 6'2" 210 and 52 years old and have no trouble getting in and out. That contoured seat feels great. The shifter is quick and precise. I love the sound that machine makes as it winds up through the RPMs and gears. Not the fastest car I've ever driven--not as fast as a Vette or '67 GTO, until you put a turn or two in the road and that's when the fun really begins with the S2000. Although it's a gas in VTEC, personally it's fun for me even at lower rpms. The whole package just makes me smile. I actually look forward to driving to work. Haven't driven a Celica in years, but I can't imagine a front-wheel drive being as much fun in the seat as rear-drive, but maybe that's just me.
