i've sometimes noticed the direct or notchy characteristics of the s2k tranny when putttin' around traffic and normal revs,
but its smooooth as butter everytime i open her up to redline when the roads clear...

perhaps i was too numb from the ecstasy of redline/vtec/ heaven...
but i suggest you try and test drive another one in better condition to fully aleviate your concerns

for all the flamers... the guy DID say he was sold on the s2k
so why all the hate
[QUOTE=Master S2K,Aug 9 2007, 10:13 AM]

Oh no........... here comes the 4th grade Spelling Bee police......

V-TEC"H" you dumbass.....!!

I think flaming ppl and calling other ppl names makes you look like an idiot......

Didnt your mother teach you any manners ??

Awww.... here comes your bottle of breast milk.....

Now you had your milk, stop bitchin
It's not spelling, that added H is a very common mistake among those people who don't know what the hell they are talking about. Mixing up an electronic lift system with a phone company is kind of funny I must admit and I know several others who would agree that given the chance to flame on people who say that they definitely take advantage of it. And why do you keep talking about my mom?? Just confused at that....all because I called a Celica a POS? What makes you think I'm some "kid"? I'm sorry you don't like my sometimes strong opinions on other cars but I don't think that calls for you talking about my mother. The dumbass comment came after the fact of the matter.

Sounds like you should be driving a BMW with your "I'm the best" attitude.

The S2000 is not a comfy GT-S celica. It is a raw car and does not shift "smooth" like a caddy, does not ride smooth, does not offer an expansive cabin, and does not intend to.

Go find another car, as this one is obviously not for you. You can't even open the gas door. Sheesh.

Why is everyone being so negative towards this guy. He is going to buy a car that he wants. He is not familiar with the car (neither was I three years ago). He is merely trying to find out opinions of a car from people whom own it themselves. The first month of owning my S2000 I was beat by a Celica from a roll. I was in vtec in 2nd from the roll. Needless to say it was modified and I only had an exhaust at the time, but that doesn't change a whole lot.

As for your transmission woes, Master S2K, you would be surprised what a simple transmission fluid change with a quality fluid can do.

If you want to know anything else and don't want to get harassed asking here, Master S2k, feel free to send me a PM (Private Message).

Glad you're looking into a S2000!

We're trying to discourage the next "This car sucks! I spun out into a guardrail with my S2000" thread.

I'm personally hoping he finds a different car to buy. This forum has enough insecure e-thuggery as it is.

Um, that's why I said keep it above 6k. If you meant, "the Celica also makes shIt for power... LIKE THE S2000..." then I got ya. Have to admit, I've stayed blissfully ignorant of all cars rice and boring. The only experience I have with the Celica engine is from driving an Elise.

You're right I didn't make an assumption, I gave my personal experience with the vehicle. I have driven a Celica GT-S......Piece Of Sh*t.
Just my opinion, deal with it. Plus I realize I was kind of harsh on you with that first comment, but hey, it doesn't feel so good when people talk trash about a car you've owned or do own does it?
Don't dish out what you can't take..... The Celica to me is a FWD POS and it always will be.
So the guy stated an opinion. I'd hardly say he trash talked your car. Hell, he said he was going to buy one.

And even if he did, are you just that sensitive? Even when coming from someone over the internetz?

You sir, have a LOT of growing up to do.

I swear, the maturity level of this forum is taking an ever deeper dive on a daily basis.

And if you found the gas door release so quickly, I'd call it lucky.

And what the hell does knowing where the gas door release is have anything with whether the car is right for someone?

Grow the hell up!
