Comparing a Celica to an S2k is like comparing an S2k to a Z06 Corvette. It's a whole different level of cars. S2k should be compared with 350Z, STI, Evo, etc. Celica would compare to a Civic Si, Integra Type R, RSX-S, etc. I'm 6 foot, 185lbs and I feel just right in my S.
Don't get you man. How is the S2K(an NA RWD cabrio) similar in any way to an EVO or STI(awd, FI sedans)?

A Celica GTS with its 1.8l vvt-i motor is very similar to an S2k other than the drive wheels. He will know exactly how to drive the S2K to get the most power from it. His only concern will be not wrecking it until he learns the difference RWD makes on handling.

I bought a 2005 NFR, not as fast as the silverstone but looks sexier. 12,151 miles today, honda certified used. Can i please have the secret password to the tree fort now?

I'll have pics as soon as i pic it up in AR, im in NY. I may make a blog of picking up the car, with pics and people i meet on the way...we'll see.
Congrats, take it easy while you learn its limits. Without VSA you have a lot more chance of handling issues if you push too hard.

It's written on a sticker in the "secret compartment."

Welcome! Enjoy the car! Lots of great info on this site, plenty to learn from.

I'm 6'1" at 210lb beefed and I drive mine daily. Fits fine. Take a performance driving class and you'll appreciate the ergonomics.

shit guys, im 6'0 and 316lbs and i fit fine, the only thing that gets uncomfortable after long trips is my legs because the compartment is so small but that doesnt have anything to do with my weight.

You give me great hope on adjusting to the comfort. First drive in the car will be 1180 miles according to mapquest. This will take place in about 2 weeks now.

Okay, here is the Official itinerary

I drive to Arkansas on sunday the 25th straight shot only stopping for gas. 1200 miles in the final voyage of the celica

Monday aug 26th I pick up the S and anticipate being in indianapolis sometime around nightfall. I will be in Indianapolis monday through wednesday morning. So monday night or tuesday would be the best time to meet up.

Sept 1st i fly back in around 11pm, not positive if im going to go out that night but we'll exchange some #'s and we'll arrange that then.

I'de like to preferably go to a bar where you can shoot darts/play some pool/scout some local talent(ladies). I'de like to get a Few fellow S owners together to just hang out and talk cars. Shoot me a pm and we'll exchange phone numbers if your interested.

Only took it into vtec once? In first gear?

I have to admit, yeah... the s2k feels gutless... until you hit 6k rpms... but what you need to do in first gear is take it from 6k to redline... shift, redline... shift, redline... then you'll be doing about 90 pretty quick...

I bought mine about a month ago, and at first, it took some getting used to, from driving a Z06, GTO, and G35... but once you figure out how to keep it in vtec, it is hecka fun

oh yeah, and then you need to take a trip either to North Carolina (where I just moved from) or out here to Utah... and I'll show you why I sold the GTO to my dad and traded in the G35... (and I knew it was the right decision when I made a canyon run the day after I bought the car) ...oh, and has anyone ever opened up the vtec in a tunnel... holy shiz... the girl in my passenger seat flipped out... sounded like an F1 car

hmm... I'm 6'2"-6'3" 185 pounds and it feels fine to me... at first, my legs felt cramped, but I got used to it... as for my head... yeah, I wonder the same thing too... it does look like you'd bust your head if it flipped just make sure you pay attention to the flight attendant next time you fly in a plane and practice sticking your head between your knees every time before you go driving

We've got to stop trying to make people such as the OP buy S2000s.

Let him think whatever he may about our cars, what significance does it have whether or not a complete stranger half way around the world isn't sold on the s2000?

95% chance he's not buying the car but just fantasizing anyway, we can all rest in peace ;p
