Been on this forum for a longgg time and things have sure changed around here! Good luck with getting at S. It's definitely not the fastest car out there......and it's not perfect, but it's a fun car to drive!

Wow, what a train wreck of a thread. To the OP, the S2000 takes some experience to drive fast. Like CKit said, it has to be driven between 6K-8K to be fast. If you launch, and then go to the redline with each shift, you'll be rewarded. Also you haven't experienced the S2000 until you've been on a twisty mountain road.

Also OP, I know you didn't see it cause you're new, but I read the first post and knew you were going to go down in flames. Tone the attitude down a notch and you'll get a lot more out of this site. There are certainly plenty of people here just looking for an argument. MpBradyS2K and Pinchy are a great example of this.

Finally, one of my first cars was a 1977 Celica GT. The one that looked like the fast-back mustang. Wow that was a fun car.

Tis cool, I just put the facts out there and didn't think it was making a stand against this car. I refuse to pussy foot around what i think cause it will offend people over the internet. were all cool now from what i've read on here so i have no need to respond negatively unless directly attacked again. were cool. If this is a lesson, no i won't post a lie, it's damn cramped in that s2k! lol. maybe it fits a lot of people off the bat, but it's something im going to have to get used too.

Test drove an 05 evo last night...hehe wow that was fun to drive. didn't take it through any twisty's but it was super easy to rev match and drive. Easy to beat the hell out of and very fast. Didn't have the appeal to me though. Can't see spending that much money on a car that is not reliable and value drops like a rock. did put a stupid grin on my face though.

Comparing a Celica to an S2k is like comparing an S2k to a Z06 Corvette. It's a whole different level of cars. S2k should be compared with 350Z, STI, Evo, etc. Celica would compare to a Civic Si, Integra Type R, RSX-S, etc. I'm 6 foot, 185lbs and I feel just right in my S.

6'4" just under 160pounds (being lanky helps). I found the s very comfortable. But im told my natural driving position is more "go kart on the steering wheel" than "oldsmobile gangsta lean".

not trying to be rude but i stated previously, the only reason i compared is because the celica is my DD and the s2k will become my DD... so makes sense for me to compare them in that aspect. I don't compare ferrari's to honda's no, if i was going to go from a dd honda to a dd ferrari then i would... gets more into comfort realm and daily things not just a weekend car kinda toy.

So I went to the only dealership in 25 miles that had another AP2 and he sent it to auction yesterday. Said if I really want it i have till tuesday when its auctioned off in a nearby city. He told me $20,000 for a 2004 silverstone on black with 39,000 miles and i can have it. Good price i know, but too many miles for me. I'de rather pony up the 3grand and get the one with 18k on the clock and a 2005. Either way the mission failed when i couldn't drive it due to it leaving for auction so i need another comparison AP2 in the area.

Buy the S. You will not be dissappointed. Most fun car I've ever driven. When you drive another one, take it out and have some fun. You will grin from ear to ear. Trust me. Have fun be safe and buy one.
