Default New guy here

Hey guys. I am going to be picking up my brand new s2000 on Monday. I have two questions about this car. At what RPM does the vtec kick in and can you feel it when it kicks in?

Thanks

All I know is AP2 - around 5500 rpm. You feel VTec more in an AP1 because of its lower torque, so the difference is more pronounced, but you do feel it in both engines.

Congrats on the purchase. Remember to break your car in before you go out and VTEC. Oh and Welcome to the site!!

Yes, before you do anything, read the owner's manual cover-to-cover. spa is correct; you don't want to start VTECing your engine until it's reached 600 miles or more.

Best wishes.
