Default New S2000 Owner in Dallas - As of July 08

Hi All -

I was looking at pre-owned vehicles like the Lotus Elise, Porsche Boxter, and Audi A3 when I came across a 2004 Silverstone S2000 with a Vortech Supercharger and after test driving it, was completely sold!

This car was much more fun to drive than the Boxter or A3, and cheaper to own and maintain. Since I was not able to find a Lotus in Dallas to test drive, I couldn't tell you about it, but know they are hard to get in and out of. The S2000 was the most practical in terms of price, performance, and fun factor.

It was intended to be a weekend car, but has become an almost daily driver.

Quality and reliability from a 100% Japanese hand built car lives up to its name.

Vortech Supercharger, came with the car (a $6-7k upgrade alone)
Nology silver core plugs, ordered and on their way
Hyper Grounding Wires, putting them on in a couple of weeks
Competition Clutch, stage 4, I'm still breaking it in!
Competition Clutch, Light Flywheel, stats & revs more easily now!
Upgraded stereo and speakers, makes little difference since I rarely listen to the radio when cruising with the top down.

Looking forward to learning more about the s2k community and sharing with you guys.

Paul

You're lucky to own an S2000 in a state where you can drive it year-round. Take advantage of this and good luck.

Welcome, there's a big group of us in the North TX section. The s/c S2000 is a good compromise, 80% of the Elise's handling and 2X the practicality. I use my S2000 for a daily and my Elise for my fun car.
