Default New S2K Owner from Calgary

Those in Calgary, probably already know me or at least some do.

Just bought a 2002 GPW on full red just 2 weeks ago. I LOVE THE CAR TO DEATH! Even though it just dumped a large amount of snow here, I'll still drive it as soon as I get winter tires. Can't stop staring at it, I just want to drive it! Probably what most, if not, all of you felt when you got your's.

My other car is a IS250 AWD, I love this car to death too but it's not as fun for sure. It's more practical, still a blast to drive nonetheless.

I just have one question about the S2000, do they ALL come with a block heater? I can't seem to find one if they all come with one. This S2000 was from the states originally, last owner imported it up here and I bought it from him. So I'm not sure if block heaters are a requirement in the states, but I think it is a requirement in Canada.

Thats all I got for questions, cause if I do winter drive it I want to plug it in. I LOVE THIS CAR!!!

Definitely not a requirement here in the USDM, shox. In fact, I've never seen one with a block heater. Check with your local community.

Oh, and with an MY02, as with all the early years, keep your eye on your oil dipstick at every fill up.

I'm guessing the oil burns very fast?

It varies in the MY00 - MY03 AP1 engines blocks. It's nothing to worry about, just keep an eye on your level at every fill up.

For reference, I'm usually adding 1/4 qt. or so every two weeks. When you find you're down an X or two on the dipstick, just pour in a little bit and check it next time. You'll get a feel for how much you need to add.
