32K is NOT a good deal. In LA, you should be able to go to a thousand dealerships and get a better deal than that. Shoot for 33.5k OTD. Now that's a deal.

I paid $31,200 plus title fees out the door. No taxes (leased through Navy Federal Credit Union) and the sales manager of the dealership is a family friend, so no "processing fees" or any of that crap. And this was for a Laguna Blue Pearl.

The salesman showed us the invoice price of the car, which was like $31,xxx.
RUN, FORREST, RUN!

BTW, "invoice" means absolutely NOTHING! Ask him what his dealer COST is. I'll bet he won't tell you.

Invoice is approx $31,163 if I am anot mistaken....I paid $31,683 after Dealer fee !!! But I barely paid no tax on it, I had a trade I sold for $30,500 so I paid the balance They also did not have the car in stock either...so they had to dealer trade it

Ever since I bought my car I've been getting quotes from multiple dealers. The quotes have been dwindling, but the latest one I got was:

$29,900 for a '06

I paid a bit under invoice for my '06 and that was with virtually no haggling. I got a bunch of online quotes found the lowest one (to me) at the time, and went for it. I said to the fleet manager that had my color "match this price" and they did.

MSRP at some dealers were insane, 36K at some!

It's best to shoot for around 2% under invoice, that way you're cutting into their hold back, but still giving them a "resonable" profit. But this is if you like, or are able to haggle.

[QUOTE=Blue_S2,May 16 2006, 12:08 AM] 8.25%? Sounds like LA.

I agree with the rest, haggle it down to 33.5 - 34 and you have a deal.
