Well, I hope this thread is helping to arm you guys when you go to purchase.

22K for a perfect MY02 w/ 24K miles?? Well, maybe that's a little high, but not outrageous.

Update:

I ended up buying a white '06 from San Leandro Honda. The car ended up there on a dealer trade, and supposedly was the last GPW in the Bay Area (so they...and Dublin Honda said). It had some "environment" on the paint, and they took care of that on Wednesday with no issues. The deal was made in less than an hour with no haggles by John Liang, the Internet sales person. If you are in the Bay Area, I recommend them.

Having a great time with my new baby. My old baby is relegated to the garage for now...at least until the newness wears off the S2000. Probably not any time soon. I have 525 miles on the car over the past week. Each one of these miles is accompanied with a smile

I'm looking forward to many many more smiles. Have fun!

News Flash!!!!

From now to end of September, Honda is offering $750 dealer cash on all 2006 S2000s.

Note this is "dealer cash." Dealerships are NOT REQUIRED to pass on this incentive to customers. However, if you negotiate hard enough, usually they will give in.

True dealership invoice = Invoice (on Internet) - incentives - holdback
Honda holdback = 3% of MSRP - Freight

Hope this helps prospective owners. Happy shopping!

^ I have no idea, but you should be bargaining MY06 price right now BIG TIME, regardless of the dealer cash incentive.

Scan the threads (particularly this one). If you're looking at an MY06, you should be able to get one from a dealer's lot for somewhere close to 30K. That's just my opinion. Especially if the dealer's getting MY07s in imminently.
