Well you can raise the flag but it doesn't make it any less true.

I didn't fully read the e-mail, because I already had an '06, so there could have been some stipulations attached to the price, but AFAIK, there weren't.

Got mine for $31,500 - $300 over invoice (taxes etc put it at $32,300)

Laguna Blue with 18 miles - popular (rare/new) color, too.

No haggling either - just went in and said I was more interested in a low mileage 2005 and he made it worth my while to look at a new one.

Used are going for @$28,000 - $30,000 around here (2005 w/ less than 10K)

With the S2k you should always START with MSRP out the door and work from there.

Back in 2001, when the car was still a hot commodity, I was able to score MSRP out the door. It must be easier now that the s2k is getting long in years.

with all the l.a. ppl qouting out 33.5

im in los angeles as well. skip all the misc numbers and
just negotiate OTD price only. let them crunch the numbers to make it work

i got mine for 33.4 OTD w/14 miles.

in other words, you can find a better deal

good luck

Would you mind disclosing which dealer and preferably salesman gave you this deal?

No.

Is there a specific salesman I should try to contact? Or are they all pretty much on giving good deals?

Ever since I bought my car I've been getting quotes from multiple dealers. The quotes have been dwindling, but the latest one I got was:

$29,900 for a '06

I paid a bit under invoice for my '06 and that was with virtually no haggling. I got a bunch of online quotes found the lowest one (to me) at the time, and went for it. I said to the fleet manager that had my color "match this price" and they did.

MSRP at some dealers were insane, 36K at some!

It's best to shoot for around 2% under invoice, that way you're cutting into their hold back, but still giving them a "resonable" profit. But this is if you like, or are able to haggle.
Which dealer was this that gave you a quote of $29k?
