I just got quoted 24.5 for an 05 NFR with 10k(thats OTD)
Also an 04 Yellow with 35k for 21.7 but not OTD
Also an other 05 silver for 23.9k with 13k miles

Just wondering which ya'll thought would be the best deal and if you think its possible to get them any lower

That price for the '04 seems very reasonable, but check the OTD price first. I got my '02 Suzuka Blue with 36k from a private owner for $21500, because I was constantly seeing dealerships in CA sell 02's and 03's, most with 50k+ miles, for $23000 or more.

On the subject of market prices. Michael Hohl Honda Subaru was (is?) selling a brand new '06 Rio Yellow for....... $37000 on the sticker! MSRP + Some dealer fees + Market value adjustment ($2000)
The funniest part is that their slogan is "If you don't shop us, you'll pay too much."

Well it looks like I'm going to probably pick up the 04 Rio Yellow one today for around 23OTD so I'm happy especially since yellow is a hard color to come by.

Really want white with red but there aren't any w/in like 250 miles for even remotely the same value

Well, normally I'd recommend holding out for the color you want, but if you like Rio, go for it. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Well now I'm trying to deal the two dealerships against eachother

The 05 NFR with 10k is offering 23.534 OTD vs 23.4 OTD for the Yellow 04 w 35k

Since i'm partial to red and it just makes sense to go with an 05 with 1/3 the miles unless they are willing to drop at least 1k I'm going with the NFR

Either way I'll be happy.

Yea and its not like I'm settling because Red, Yellow, and White were all in a dead heat for my fav

Hi all,

I am looking at a black 2002 with 28K miles for 24K at a dealer in CA. I think I could do better, any one have thoughts on how much?

Thank you!

Yeah, I think that's high. $22K (or less) would seem more in line to me.

Welcome!

Not sure if prices are higher in Cali but here if you just let them know that there are plenty of 04-05's with the same or fewer miles I'm sure they'll go down.

24k here will get you a really low miles like 10-15k 04-04. texas that is

From what I have seen on online car shopping and Craigslist, that is pretty much the norm on what dealerships are selling at for '02-03, at least in North Cali. Yes you can do better. I got mine from a private owner in Folsom, stock '02 Suzuka Blue with 36k miles, aftermarket stereo, Airwalker style lip, side and rear skirts for $21500.

Great, thanks for the responses and the welcome. I have driven a few s2000's at this point and am looking forward to having my own. Having a target of 21-22K, I am betting I can talk them down.

I grew up in Placerville, pretty close to Folsom. Can't wait to take the car out highway 49!
