Default Springing for the S2K tomorrow!

Have a few questions....

-How much will the dealer knock off the MSRP on a 06 S2000?

-Any big changes 04-06?

-Realistically, can I get an 06 OTD for less then 27k?

Right now I'm looking at an 05 with 5k miles, silverstone. The dealership is asking for 28k,

I wouldn't pay a dime over 25.5k for that 05.

Don't bargain from MSRP. Bargain from invoice price.

MSRP is what the manufacturer suggests they sell it for.

Invoice is the price the dealership pays for the car. (ie. the least they want to get because that's how much they paid for the car, the depreciated value might even be lower. Therefor use that to your advantage. Remember the longer the car sits on the lot the more of a depreciation hit it'll take and the more money they lose so they want that car sold ASAP.)

Hope that helps. Happy hunting and looking forward to you joining the community.

I would stay hardline on the 25.5K out the door like the guy above said...that is what I see most of them being listed at in my area.

Don't get sucked in on that... yes it is true that S2K's consistantly rank at or near the top of the list for residual value http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/list/top10/...29/article.html
but, If I were to sell my '05 mint (garaged; rarely driven in rain; never driven in winter) S2K, I wouldn't expect any more than 26K and that's being hopeful.
