There is a possibility that I may be moving to JAX and would like to get some info on where the better areas of town might be (not necessarily expensive).
Any info is greatly appreciated.

Southside area.

 

depends where you plan on working... i would try to stay on that side of town especially in jax since its so big a bitchhhh to get around at times. oh and Fk SS...

 

Check out neighborhoods on the northside of town. 32218 area code has a good amount of new (<7 year) neighborhoods. If you have the money, stay away from westside. Southside and the beaches have some good neighborhoods and areas but also have some bad ones. Baymeadows is nice also.

edit: But I definitely agree on living near your workplace. Traffic can get really bad, I'm lucky enough to work where most people are coming from, so the traffic jams are always in the opposite direction of me.
