So after a 3.5 months of waiting, King finally shipped out my Mugen exhaust to me.

Is anyone using a test pipe with this exhaust? I'm debating whether to get a test pipe and install it at the same time or to install the exhaust alone first.

I'd like a deep, aggressive exhaust note but want to keep the drone to a minimum; any thoughts or advice are appreciated.

 

im wondering about adding a test pipe as well, i have the exhaust and love it to death...id enjoy some more power from the testpipe, but not at the expense of sound quality. i think s2kIInr (sorry if i screwed up the screen name) had a test pipe with his mugen exhaust...maybe he can chime in?

 

i'm on the same boat, waiting for my mugen this week. i'll keep an eye on this thread.

my mugen experience, the test pipe will make the car drone less while cruising at partial throttle and is a tad louder at WOT throughout the rev range

 

My buddy John is running the AP2 Mugen exhaust with ARC ti straight pipe. It makes the exhaust sound noticeablly louder. I think it's a good mod to go with the exhaust.

 

A pipe usually adds 5-7 decibels. Doesn't sound like much, but when you're starting from a base of 90 it's a lot.
