Bah, there are a few used asm 70mm for sale right now but the more of these owners surfacing with rattle problems makes it discouraging for me. I really want one due to its low decibel/performance but dang!
I don't see any fs in the forum? where are they at?

I have the same 07 model with no rattles. I've ran it both with a cat/TP with no issues, so far.

I am also on the fence about this. I have read more and more issues about this exhaust.

Despite speaking to Tommy, I would like to know how this will be resolved if there are issues with it.

Also for the OP's that have the rattle issue. How long have you had the exhaust for? I've heard there is a break in period for these exhausts but I could be wrong?

I spoke to stan ( reve to 8 ) and his exhaust noise went away, I believe his wasn't broken in at the time. He says it sounds perfectly fine.

ASM Japan has acknowledged the issue and they are currently trying to figure out exactly what happened and the best way to resolve the issue. It seems to be an isolated batch issue because no one in Japan has had this issue and only a 2 of the exhausts from a specific batch we received have this issue. However, the problem has gone away on one of the two exhaust purchased from us so we're hoping the other one resolves itself with a little time.

What about for members/owners that have purchased the exhaust, but not through GoTuning? Are they SOL or is there some light at the end of the tunnel?

Owners who have purchased ASM products from us or any authorized ASM dealer will be covered. Authorized dealers are able to trace exactly which batch problematic products came from to diagnose issues. In the past we have even commissioned a small production run of ASM 70mm Titanium exhausts AFTER they were discontinued to replace defective ones. Although it later determined there was nothing defective with the Titanium exhausts after all, they were simply damaged from other factors.
