I would have to think that something else was not right....the J's is actually very unrestrictive, the ONLY thing that is restrective is the filter as but no more than any other filter like it (k&n, etc)....I understand that it happened, but to truly have it hold water the VAFC should have been removed...it's not like a reg bolt on, it has various settings...i know you know all this i'm just reiterating

The Tuner plugged something into the engine bay to read the air flow (or something like that). What he told me is that I wasn't getting enough air, and it could possible be the intake that was restricting the air flow.

It does make sense since the intake was designed to have air, and alot of it ramed up the snorkled at like 60-80mph. On the dyno doing (i forgot which) 3rd or 4th gear pulles it is impossible to generate that amount of air up into the intake.

The charts show that the AEM and J's both had similar gains up until 6k rpms where VTEC engaged and the J's chart flatlines, while the AEM kept on going up.

The VAFC actually gained back 2-hp...making my total loss only 8 hp

Someone needs to do some G-tech Pro runs with different intakes for some real world driving condition results... 3rd and 4th gear pulls on the freeway seems like it would clear up a bit of this debate.

i was looking at this page on AJ Racing

the part says form an ek, but when you read the description it mentions the s2000, so I thought it was for our cars also.
i know for a fact that specific model will not fit in our car. however, if you order the version that fits the DC2 with ABS, it will fit 100%

here's my DIY on it:
