I'm very excited for you. Please make sure to give us your thoughts on the K-Pro when you tune that bad-boy.

kial007, question have you ever spoke with the guy who orginially did the motor? just wondering because i was talking to a shop and they told me that a turbo setup on this motor would be bad.. hurry up and get some numbers

a turbo on the engine could actually be better for it than running N/A at high revs. The rod ratio and strength being the question.

I sent an email to DesignCraft Fab when I first started back in early Sept and he said that their engine was built for boost but due to other projects (ie drift cars), it had not been ran. He did say however that if he could have done it over he would have opened up the journals on the K24 crank to accept the oem spec H22A rods for added strength to handle boost.

To address the boost questions:

I would not be comfortable running much boost at all with my current setup (11.5:1 cr, rods narrowed by 4mm), maybe 5psi...maybe. Plus, I wanted to try to make as much streetable power as possible staying naturally aspirated. You could run a thicker headgasket but I don't believe oem H22A internals are forged. If I was going to run boost I would contact either a rod manufacturer (Manley, Eagle, etc.) to price making a set of forged H22A rods 4mm narrower on the big end or a crank manufacturer to price making a K24 crank with 4mm wider rod journals and use off the shelf forged H22A rods, then use a set of Mahle Gold series H22A dish pistons. The other option, which I will explain in a minute why I think wouldn't be the way to go, would be to buy a set of custom forged rods or custom crank like above and then sleeve the block and run any off the shelf forged H22A dish pistons. The reason I, personally, wouldn't do this is because by the time you buy the forged crank or rods, forged pistons, and have the block sleeved you would be close to an Inline Pro 2.5L stroker, albeit you would have a badass custom setup. It's just not the way I would go but to each his own.

So if I have an 07 I don't need to change any of those sensors to run k pro?
I'm not sure but you could check the part numbers for an 07 against the part numbers for an 06. Check Majestic Honda. If they are the same you should be good to go
