Not true... theory does hold true... as diminishing returns holds true. Shorter can yield more top end, but don't forget there is such thing as to short and that shorter also yields a peaky curve... which would explain why the longer the runner the more power everywhere.

I'm curious what other basic theories this motor disproves? Not knocking your work... awesome to see R&D behind products!
Unfortuneately the runners want to be really really really long. Short is relative, in no way will anything that actually fits under the hood make more power then what the engine actually wants. Logically the runner length will always effect the power band but we can not get to that point and still have everything fit under the hood. There is no more room to make the runners longer and the longer horns are making more power everywhere. We aren't even to the point where we can play with effecting the powerband with runner length as we have not met the optimal minimum. This isn't a Kent Xflow head.

hey ERL S2000 where are you getting your head work done? Portflow? I think that portflow does the exact same headwork for FI and NA applications and from reading this thread that is not the way to go with the f20c head

cant wait to see the hytech block package with their cams and header
Nah, portflow isnt going to be doing anything for me. John is having a custom head done for me that is going to work with the most aggressive grind. This will take alot of work in the CC and the exhaust and intake ports. We will prolly add more than we remove.

Not sure exactly, we will end up with whatever the longest setup is that will fit under the hood.

Well, talked with john again today. Looks like we have some cool stuff we are going to be doing. My company FineLine Performance will open soon. You will see on on S2ki very soon We will be teaming up with hytech to build complete race engines. We will try and have these IN STOCK for everyone. Engines will be engine dynoed!

I myself will testing the motor before its sold. We will using the 48 or 50mm Jenvey/hayward setup. Adam has already tested the cams and other componets. The goal is to be able to build a 300whp F20C with a solid solid torque band. My engine displacement will be 2.1L due to a 89mm bore. Pricing on this setup will be out once all testing and development is done. ERL pretty much does all my short block work. The work is top notch and some of the best I have seen in the industry. More info will be available as progress moves on. All head work will be done through Hytech and Endyn. I will provide as much info as possible to the public.
