welcome to the ITB world Alejo... now let others drive your car and see for themselves. im sure youre still having that big grin everytime you drive your car haha coz i still do.

and yes, alejo's car was tuned with my map with minor tweaks since he's AP2 and im AP1.... 2.2L is definitely more than AP1. plus he has the toda and 70mm which helps. i dyno'd 210 on the same dyno.

Tuning Questions:

How do you tune ITBs via the MAP sensor? When you remove the standard TB, where does the MAP sensor go?

Can you retain the stock injectors & fuel rail, therefore negating the chopping of the OEM harness?

Map sensor is plugged to a vacuum line that leads to a vacuum tree. I don't know about tuning stuff - I hired an expert after I bought an AEM EMS with UEGO.

I replaced the stock injectors and the Jenvey's come with their own rail. Fuel line chopping was done.

you can tune either with map or TPS, but MAP works better on our cars. map sensor is retained with an adapter thats connected to the vacuum block.

stock injectors can be reused but with some modification, fuel rail no. Jenvey comes with its own rail and requires pico style injector for right fitment.

None that I know of at the moment, but hopefully ScienceOfSpeed will offer a cable-throttle replacement kit as they have for the NSX.

I think they used S2Kennmark's AP1 map as a base - the car idles great and it starts predictably but the starts take more starter effort (slightly longer time) than stock.

A good tuner is key.
Increasing the timing in the start cell and fuel pump prime value will reduce the number of engine crank cycles before the engine fires

an idle air control valve can be easily incorporated to the vacuum chamber.
If you spend enough time fine tuning your idle settings and cold start enrichment table, with and without the A/C on, you won't need the idle air control valve. My car fires on the 3rd crank every time now and idles perfectly smooth, even when it's completely cold and I start with the A/C on.

My idle timing hovers in the 17.1 degree range in the off-A/C load cells, and 19.9 in the A/C on idle load cells.

Fuel injector duty cycle is at 1.5 and 1.75 respectively in those cells as well...440cc/min injectors at 47 psi fuel. My fuel pump prime value is at 9 seconds, but I think I can back that off.

I wait for my instrument panel tach to zero out before I fire the engine, to give the pump enough time to prime the rail.

it should, but i need to do some more re search. no using filters makes me scared, but majority of the particals that enter the motor will just burn up anyway. they say with itb's you need to change your oil more often than once every 3k.
I routinely change my oil every 3000 miles, whether it appears as if it needs it or not. I also have a magnetic drain plug to monitor wear, and so far I've noticed absolutely no ill effects of not running an air filter.

I also do a seafoam treatment every 3rd oil change, but only thru the throttles, not in the engine crankcase.
