I've been running mine wide open since I stopped messing with useless filters back in December.
4 months of driving w/ no filters, so far my oil hasn't been any dirtier than usual at each change, and no additional wear has been detectable on my magnetic drain bolt.

Very few objects large enough to cause internal damage ever make it into your engine bay. Not saying it's a safe idea to run like this, just everyone else I've seen with them (not just s2k's) runs them open with an "ah, screw it" attitude.

Pretty much anyone who is hardcore enough to street an ITB setup is not gonna sweat it. We swing low and have no fear or shame.

The stock intake will not make "this" kind of power!!

My 50m/m ITB system bolts on without complications,
and has made 275HP and 200 torque,
with correct cams and exhaust system,
on an otherwise stock engine.
Standard 50m/m bolt on makes 40+ HP with exhaust etc.
Uses the stock throttle cable and all water connections fit,
also has a cooling system bleeder just like the stock intake.

Ohh and you can have the ITB system with a turbo plenum too,
that's if you want even more power,
Like Fred did.

stupid question but I'm a newbie. You guys don't need air filters on these ITB"s?
I had ITB filters (mesh-type) on my Toda ITBs. Lost 40-hp!

You would have a plenum enclosing the throttles and the inlet to the plenum would connect to your intercooler outlet pipe. This is EXACTLY like a Pulsar GTi-R or a RB26DETT from the factory.

So are you running this car and setup as your daily driver?

I would LOVE to pick up midrange like that, I can not imagine how much of a difference it would make.

Where in FL did you get your car tuned?

I'm in sarasota and have had my RX7 tuned (full aem EMS) locally, but when I took the S2K to him and started talking about it he pretty much told me I should find someone who specializes in them.

ITB's all depend on the tune my friend. To say that one brand will make more power than another is an understatement, because if you get a crap tune then one set will.

ITB's depend alot on the supporting mods and the tune.

Well it sounds, from what I have been reading here, that you do not really need any other 'supporting' mods for ITB's besides an EMS/tune.

Looking at these dyno's this mod seems to give a more usable powerband than any other N/A mods that I have seen documented on this site.

Now I imagine with a full setup, ITB/H/E/TP/EMS you would get allot higher peak as well as area under the curve.

But man, it looks like with just ITBs, EMS and gears you would have one very very quick N/A S2000.
