Nate...here are some instructions for a DIY grounding kit...should cost a lot less than a T1R kit...like $20 rather than $100.

Also, check S2x's 4pt stb...think it is the same as the T1R for a lot le$$:

What else are you planning on doing with the car before being "done". Do you think you can hit 300 rwhp with some headwork?
Yes, very possible. With reshaped combustion chambers to raise compression As well as possibly shrinking the intake ports to increase intake air charge velocity along with some port reshaping; 300whp I think can be obtained even on 91 octane. I may pull the trigger on a new head once we are done developing the cams on a stock engine.

Well guys I don't have pictures of mine yet, but when I installed my oil pressure gauge last year I used a tapered fitting going into the stock location...needless to say, this happened to me

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...c=426572&st=25

Though mine is not as bad and is still well attached, I'm probably going to be getting a new block. Also, I'm disappointed that I probably wont be able to do a baseline now...I'm hoping to do some sort of temporary fix so I can, and so I can also drive the car back to AZ to install the new block.

But it looks as if a J's 2.2l stroker and Spoon head gasket are in my near future.

Sorry to hear that. One thought for you: once you get the new block, I think you can have your original block welded good as new and sell it to help offset costs.

Thanks yep...I'm planning to do that. And if somebody wants it complete, I can let it go that way...or I could potentially part it out. One thing I'm asking in Under the Hood is can I just bolt this 2.2 bottom end on and run it on an AP1 ECU...will it work with an AP2 bottom end?

yea it will work, you can rev the f22 to about 8300, then it stops making power.

I keep going back and forth in my head between the Comptech Intake and a Snorkel/Filter set-up. I'm sure some of you have had both. What do you think is better and why?

As I understand it, the Comptech Intake makes more HP on the dyno, but the snorkel/filter setup is better in real life?

Has this been the general consensus or am I mistaken?

Thanks,

Tom

Ya I haven't decided...it might be easier to just go with an F22 bottom end or if I should get built rods and pins so I can rev out the F22...is it even worth reving out. Though I may just do it to have the option in the future if it is all apart anyway...and hopefully, if I do not even use the rods, I can sell them back to Honda and get back most of the cost for them. I'd probably go with something like Pauters or whatever else anybody could recommend
