you could use Aluminized steal. OEM stuff......cheaper than SS
spugen uses that and their exhaust are known for rusting pretty badly. just sping for the SS.

Safe... yes. Inline knows why and for what I'm using this motor. I'm guessing that they have a vested interest in not having it go ka-pukt, both in terms of immediate replacement cost and negative press. I told them I did not want to have to mess with mixing race gas either. I just needed a low(er) maintenance solution to my sc'er setup.

I haven't uploaded any data from the EMS yet. I'm replacing cv joints, hubs, bearings and installing the BSK this weekend. After the first of the year, perhaps I can forward more exact information.

Clawhammer, peak hp means nothing unless you're into bragging rights. When I was tracking/autox'ing my car AND showing it, that dyno sheet was gold. Now that I'm more interested in real-world performance, I'm looking for more power to help me get out of that corner that I just botched up. My laptimes at Summit in October suggest that the motor was capable- making up for driver error/rust.

Note: Nearly 400hp was real, but only seen at redline. It was still faster than my 2.5L. Boosted will always be faster. That's why I always marvel at those that insist NA is better, 'cause it sure ain't faster! On a track, smoother is faster. Sometimes the guy with the most power isn't always the fastest. I'm hoping to become a better driver; one that is no longer dependent on power to be fast.
Skip,
You are gonna have to take me for a ride in your car man!

or let me drive it!!

I thought they remedied that after a few runs of the rusty ones.

Use 409 SS. It's not as pretty as 304 SS, but it's nowhere near as expensive, it's much easier to bend, and it will last almost as long.

Just bought a VAFC II for 180. getting a free Invidia Test pipe this weekend too.

well see where that puts me, after that Im goning to give the 3 incher a try!!!
fair price on the vafc.

why get the invidia test pipe if your going three inch? Are you going to get rid of the test pipe and go headerback or work on the transition from the invidia to the 3 inch system?
