cutting the inner panel of the hood is not that big of a deal, especially if you can afford to get a J's Intake.

it isn't like you are putting a hole through the surface of the hood.

I agree with Circa, I think this guys confused. Someone post of pictures of a cut hood. you cut the underside, so when the hoods closed, you never notice it. Some people even take the time to put a nice rubber trim around the metal that's been cut so it's clean and OEM looking.
