On a different note, how open are some of you guys with highly prepped cars to letting someone co-drive that isn't highly experienced? I know my way around a course and feel like I can read it fairly well. I still think I don't get anywhere close enough to cones as I rarely have a run that isn't clean. I'd love to drive a car that has one of these fancy front sways and some really high end shocks.

I don't know about others, but I made my poor (not in the financial context) co-driver sign a fairly extensive legal agreement to drive my car, stipulates at above $40,000 in value. I would think most people are going to be fairly restrictive. Plus, I can tell you that everyone and their mom asks to "get a drive." it makes it hard when some people are permitted to and other are not. Easiest to say "no" to everyone.

I make exceptions for people like Nick Barbato himself, and others who can provide unmatched feedback on how my car feels in their hands.

I would not bet on "getting a ride" in a nationals level car, but that's me.

We are so funny though. There are guys that can beat us all in an s2000 with an alignment and front sway bar

Did any of you STR guys see my class letters fly off when I spun out on my second run? I recovered the "B" but still trying to locate the "S". Thanks

p.s. Anyone that can demonstrate that they are a compentant driver and will help change tires/pay for them is more than welcome to co-drive my car with a fancy sway bar. My car is getting old. If I was Noel and had a CR no one would be able to drive it but me.

^Where is that event. My other half will be out of town that weekend which makes it a perfect time to do a little driving for an event.

meh...maybe not worth the trip. I hate tiny lots. When VMSC runs RIR I rarely go. I'm not a huge fan of 30 second courses that keep looping around. Not exciting at all.

It really small...you have to loop it 3-4 times to get a 35-40s course.

I didn't realize Frederick was as far away from me as it is. That's a pretty good hike for me.
