ProDarwing- How can your stock seat be dissolving? LOL. I have Sparco Evo’s. they fit ok, they rub a bit on the door but nothing bad, also I can also open the center console…I have 2 but only installed the driver side because; 1) They are only about 5lbs lighter than the stock ones. 2) If I need/ want to sit and relax during a long Autox I can on do it on the passenger seat. Yes, ingress –egress will be a lot harder with any fixed back seat. You can come over and try it; I may sell the other seat.

There is no need to get a new car. Now, at a National event, you may have to run a different class. I may sell my TR wheels 17X9 +62 with 255 Star-Specs

I really want to see the gap in times because I haven’t touched my car since last year. Depending on the results, I will decide what to upgrade. But most likely I need a big “driver” mod.

MazdaSC- James is that you? Any changes on your car for this year?

 

I'm pursuing trying to sell the car very hard. I actually don't want to sell it. Just somehow make a trade with someone that puts some cash in my hands on top. In the meantime I'll continue to drive the car as is and not worry about it. If the right trade never comes up then oh well.

I've had a few good offers for low mileage 05 AP2s but I'd really like to hold out for a 06 as the benefit of flashing is a huge perk. If the right person wants to throw the right amount of cash on top though I won't turn it down. I have a feeling that getting into another AP2 and spending money in all the other right places even without any kind of tuning option will still do a lot more for me than having a tuning option. Truthfully because STR requires at least a HFC you really don't benefit from tuning like you could on a car capable of running a test pipe. We'll see

Darwin last Saturday was the first time I've taken my s2k to do autox. Plus my car was down last year so no racing but you'll see me Sunday or sure!

Its ripped, peeling, and the side bolster is crushed. I'm not fat, nor am I abnormally hard on seats (I have never had anything like this happen)

Agreed. I'm so excited for the SCCA season to get started. FedEx field is my favorite place to run, maybe even more than the Meadowlands. The uneven lot makes it interesting. I have so much fun with the STR guys even when I'm the slowest one there.

Your probably going to want to do pax. That said, I may not be there. When the arm broke last week it twisted the other suspension bits like a pretzel. Looks like the shock is fine, but the other arms will need to be replaced. Unfortunately, I don't have any, and have to source some. Then I still need time to get the car aligned.

 

Damn dude. STR man. you are already on the forum. You could sell that thing after getting it fixed and pick up a black year model 2005 S2000 for cheap from someone on the forums
