Congrats on your results! The fuel starve is crazy, the car falls flat on its face doesn't it. I have to run with a full tank in order to avoid it. When Jadrice and I drove together we had it on day one after starting with a full tank. I always fill up just before I get to an event site and some two day events cause me a problem. Last time at fedex I had to borrow fuel to keep it from starving out on me.

Now I have real problems, I'm trying to figure out what colors to do my graphics in for this event. Black and red? Black and blue? Decisions decisions.

Noel I'm very impressed on how well your car stays planted. Mine is all over the place. I think it's time I start doing something to keep the rear in check even with throttle modulation it's still not staying put. But I don't know where to start(best bang for the buck). I had a problem I was unaware of till I got my car on a lift at work after april 1st and noticed my compliance bushing was completely torn all the way around and I could move the entire r/f lower control arm by hand. So I ordered a new arm and I'm going to put it on Tuesday. I knew something felt weird when I was aligning the front end before the event.

I'm thinking of ordering a miata sway bar/disconnecting the rear bar. And getting the better front sway bar but I'm unsure of the options as far as that one you

All I can say is that I have done a lot of research on the forums listening primarily to those who are national champions or trophy winners. I also try to learn as much as possible talking to people at national events. I have learned that there no single best setup, just setups that are relatively fast that you need to tune to your liking. I stick with the proven parts. Gendron front sway 1.25" hollow is proven. The Miata bar for the rear is also proven, but I like the Gendron rear, which is virtually identical.

Then there is the lot. NJ is similar to Hershey and Waldorf. It is super huge. We had that huge lot and another lot that is the size of Waldorf, which was used exclusively as a huge skid pad.

Just do the research, be prepared to fiddle a little, and of course make sure all the normal parts on your car are functioning properly and the beauty of the S2000 is that the car will be fast. Then you can do what I am doing, and learning how to freaking drive the car.

Have you kissed your S2000 today? I rub her butt every time I exit the garage. On a serious note, I think a well-prepped 350Z/370Z can win BSP nationally. We have one here in NC, driven by Michael Bright, that I have a hard time staying ahead of, even with him on 3 years old hoosiers that he drives on to the events. Now on the flip side, I am staying way too close to him, and most of the time rawtiming him in a BS S2000, which makes me believe that a well prepped BSP S2000 would probably rape the class, especially if it is a transitional course.

Congrats, man! I was going to introduce myself during the practice weekend but you were cat napping in your CR. I would like to ask for ride in your car in one of fedex events if that is ok with you.

Yeah buddy. Thanks. I was soo tired that day.

Did we just get The Jadrice to post on our humble local thread?

We need to keep writing controversial things or whatever we did

Good Luck J. We will be in for a real show watching BS.

You had to give Mike a reason to keep that Nissan, didn't you I thought I had him turning the corner on the S...

Funny how Noel became a strong S2000 enthusiast so fast… hating on other cars

Mike’s 350 should be really strong in BSP this year, I would not sell it. I think that he can drive it well enough to get a trophy at Nationals if not first place.

Anthony, I love my cars. Most of it is sentimental. I was super-reluctant to switch from the Z4 because it was my baby. I feel that Mike would feel the same as me (i.e. not looking back after making the switch).

I realized the superirity of the S every time I can brake while turning, and getting the superior feedback rather than what was called "understeer" in the Z4. Plus the weight transfer is so much easier t use in this car. I could not lift and get the Z4 to turn anywhere close to how that is possible on a wishbone suspension. My Miata was excellent, the S is outstanding, and even my wishbone Civic DX is pretty damn good.

So you are right, Anthony. I made the switch hard and am not looking back or regretting it. I don't hate the other cars, just realize that my stubbornness kept me from advancing as a driver at the expense of frustration with messing with that car at every moment.

Plus, Mike in STR would be a game changer for him since he would be in the mix at every event, pressured to perform, and not concerned with PAX as much, and would probably save like $3,000 per year in Hoosiers Does anyone buy more tires er year than Mike???

BTW Anthony, last year when you drove my car for a few events, and it was about the same as yours.... this year it is crazy better. If you drive it sometime, you will see why I am so enthusiastic about it. It is unreal.

Hey at least I didn't cash in my hoosier money and buy stickers for the Pro . Looks like Lee Piccione will be co-driving my 350 at the Pro instead of his M3. DJ was nice enough to give up his seat for him since his M3 went boom two weeks ago. 3,000 only buys two sets in my sizes....I will probably use 3 or 4 this year. I need to win more often lol.

LOL I was just kidding! I am glad that you like the S2000, I feel the same way about the car, after driving other cars I keep coming back to the conclusion that the S2000 is just too good… people that don’t like the car probably never drove it or just want to do go in a straight line.

My suspension and exhaust are on, but I need to practice, the car feels completely different now…I will be getting familiar with the suspension at the Pro-Solo…so that is my excuse!!!
