The weather for the FATT tomorrow is looking pretty sweet. It'll be chilly for the first run but should be good to go after that. I'm still planning to attend the Seat Time on the 15th unless the weather sucks.
Had a BLAST racing with NASA down at VIR this past weekend. Rob O, great seeing you again. You're getting faster!
I'm getting faster (ran 2:14.2 with typical race traffic) and more confident with starts and in passing other cars (its a whole lot different than TT or HPDE4 or even Lemons), but am not still able to keep up with the front runners. JFO and I switched cars for part of the sunday 55 min fun race, which was really interesting as a point of comparison between two S2000 race cars. Thanks for that John.
Managed to avoid contact, but had a big off in 17. Hopefully got it on video.
The car is sliding a lot, which is fun but probably not fast. Need LSD and some more front grip, and need to lose 150 lbs.

Matt, how'd JFO's car compare to yours?
On another subject, after watching in-car video of the car before and after the new motor mounts the shifter is now rock solid. Before it was literally waggling about on bumps and shifts. If you notice your shifter moving around it might be time to check your motor mounts.

His car accelerated harder due to gears, but didnt seem to have that much more power.
His gears are better suited for VIR than mine.
i was more comfortable with my softer suspension, but that was probably because I didnt want to start throwing an unfamiliar car around a racetrack with a bunch of other guys who may have mistaken me for John and bumped me.
His had better brake feel, but jinked to the right under braking a little.
His pushed even more than mine at low speed. Both are bad. - Both of us had a lot of trouble with push.
His rear was planted. Mine is not. John says that is LSD.
A shift light is a great idea
His car is LOUD
My dashboard looks much better than his
One more thing. As John pulled away from me in my own car, I had a moment to reflect that this basically proves that the driver makes more difference than the car at this level of racing. I, in his clearly faster car, couldnt keep up. Either that or John just didnt care if he wrecked my car and went for it. ;-)
VIR was fun... and cold. Saw some s2k's driving around, but didn't see anyone paddocked. Finally got a chance to have fun w/ the new setup, and it felt great... now I have to work on my skills... sucks to be slow. I think my best time around VIR this wknd was 2.24.x
I also got my car weighed and need to dial in the corners... with driver i'm 2882 lbs (i'm about 30-40lbs overweight @215lbs haha
) and corners are: 666 (LF), 802 (RF), 832 (LR), 582 (RR)

Are you sure the scales at VIR were on level ground? If so how did you do your current corner balance?
If you don't have a verifiable level and flat area to do a corner balance you're better off just setting the right and left side shocks to exactly equal lengths.
