I believe this is reversed. I have a HANS and a 3 inch harness. The 3 inch shoulder straps do not fit naturally into the shoulder groove on the HANS. By my experience, it is designed for a 2 inch strap.

Also for those designing their installations, the HANS sits up a good 1 to 1-1/2 inches above your shoulders. The shoulder strap is supposed to have, I believe, an angle of no more than 20 degrees as it comes up over the shoulder. If you are close, the extra height caused by the HANS could put you over the correct angle. Also you need to make sure that the harness holes on your seat will accommodate this additional height.

Just visiting. Cheers.
I don't think you read my post correctly. I stated that I use a 2" belt with my HANs but that it is possible to use a 2" without a HANs. i also have a 3" belt for passengers (and in a racecar) and the HANs does not work all that great with a 3" belt. The last post that you quoted was my comment regarding belt use WITHOUT a HANs (ie 2" could work, but 3" is better).

Thinking about signing up for hpde at summit point hyperfest weekend. Kind of think it might be a huge cluster **** with all the extra events going on. Any body have input on that. Don't want to waste the coin for a couple shitty turns on the track filled with knuckleheads and whatnot.

Thank you Jim! I'll contact you.

Hyperfest weekend is busy, but usually it is not that bad. It is the best day to just come to the track and hang around.

Hyperfest is usually not too terrible, except for the session they allow more out for Hyperdrive. Then there are usually trains of cars.

When is the next Shenandoah event for everyone? I'd like another opportunity to clean things up & improve my time.
