Plan on a huge amount of track time if you sign up with them. They also have a time trial on the afternoon of the second day.

You need a proper roll bar (stock hoops don't cut it) to run with COM in any convertible.

I'll add them when they put up the 2013 Schedule.

sooo, how does one go about getting invited to an instructor clinic?
I been doing track events since 2006 (when I was 19), and been in HPDE3/Solo for the last 3 years.
I really enjoy teaching and helping people progress. Let me know how you guys that are current instructors did it. thanks!
With NASA? I would send a email to Jeff Curtis, the level one clinic is usually in March. BSR (FATT) will need a Red Shirt instructor to invite you.
So after emailing a few of the local clubs it seems I will need recommendations.

That's how I got my start. My neighbor worked at BSR and he recommended me to the BSR head of training. The head of training met me at a FATT I was attending as a Group 1 student. We chatted a bit for the "interview" and then I took him for a ride during the next track session. After the ride he hired me as a Red Shirt instructor candidate and I started training the next week. I used the BSR Red Shirt instructor credential to get into the other instructor clinics.

Typically the recommendation a track day organization wants is from one of their instructors that's ridden with you. Once you become an instructor with pretty much any organization the others will accept you for their instructor clinic.

The cage looks good.

Be sure and get all the interior and especially any floorboard work done before you put in the rest of the cage. It becomes very difficult to work below the dashboard once the cage is in.

Thanks! I saw that there is a for sale section in the main Racing and Competition forum. If you don't find anybody local to pick up your camber joints maybe try putting them in there.

Thanks! I don't have too much to do on the inside. It will have a passenger seat in it so any electronics or fire system will stay mainly in the trunk. Aside from washing everything and painting the floor it should be fairly straightforward.
