I need to do bushings at some point as well....probably this winter.
How about coordinated group bushing swap, anyone?
If organized correctly, it can save us all some time and money.

Interested in picking up a 20 ton press and arbor plates? I'll give you a good deal and it's already put together.

Maybe that will motivate you to get the job done?

I think I want to run shenandoah this year after hyperfest at some time. I ran shenandoah for my first track day 4-5 years ago on all season tires. I'd like to run it again now that I have a little bit of experience. I imagine it'll be like learning the track all over again since it was my first event. Think at hyperfest I'm going to mess around with Harry's lap timer. I've never timed any of my laps but am generally curious what kind of times I'm running compared to the truly fast guys.

I need to fix the vette first, it's developed a high RPM Ping/Detonation, Not sure what is causing it, maybe just a bad tank of gas. Maybe I will run up to SP and put some 100 octane in,

I need to sign up for Hyperfest

I bought it off amazon. Its called the black bull.

I can throw in the 2 rectangle arbor plates it came with and the really nice one I purchased separate. One I bought is at least 1.25 inches thick steel with openings in 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 inches. Very useful for pressing out bushings on control arms.

Rear end:

I know I'm forgetting a few and it doesn't seem like that many. However, removing and replacing individual pieces of suspension work takes a long time. I also changed my oil today - 9 total quarts of amsoil.

Tomorrow is brake fluid, transmission and differential fluids then its ready for hyperfest!
I need to do this (ie have this done by not me) on my S. I am able to change the toe in the rear by about 2-3 degrees just by tugging on the wheel when its in the air. Bushing flex.

Its really not terribly difficult...just labor intensive and time consuming. Using a press is an art of measure and line up 3x, press out once.

If Oleg picks up my press I'll come out to the s2k day and wrench with you guys.

Mercedes events are mostly non Mercedes! I like their events because they are low key with small turn outs.
