Hey guys here's my video from the weekend at Summit Main. Kinda bummed I didn't get the car into the 20's, but still stoked on getting a good time. I also got my instructor certification along with Derek, and I think I had some success with my student. He had a stock black s2000 (I don't think he's on the forums) and at first he was timid about going over the paint on the exit, but with my encouragement he got a lot more aggressive and definitely got faster on Sunday. I think he'll fly up through the hpde ranks pretty rapidly.

I also included a lap and a half with a Ferrari Challenge car and Mike's (03threefiftyz) lockup. I ended up beating the ferrari by 7 tenths.

I was almost hoping I hit the curb to cause the brakes to freak out, but all looked normal. Don't think I have ever been in a car, no abs or otherwise, that locked up all 4 like that.

Very nice, man you're moving! Very cool on the instructing, having a good instructor makes such a big difference.

I registered for the May 10 SCCA Night at Dominion.
Woah!

Did we ever determine if a roll bar is required for the S2000? I am really tempted to go now with so many people going.

I don't need an instructor, so won't have complaints there, and have an OEM hardtop.

*edit* According to the registration factory hardtop is good.
I assumed factory hoops were fine based on some of the wording in the registration. Did you see otherwise? I'll switch registration to the BMW if I have to, I guess.
2. Convertible vehicles operating with the factory rollover protection system are allowed. Factory rollover protection includes factory roll bars, pop up rollover protection, and reinforced a-pillars designed to provide rollover protection. Contact jack@tracknightinamerica.com with questions.

BOO YA!

Hey Aaron,

Your S2000 is good to go. Actually all S2000s are good to go with their factory protection. Not all factory protection is approved though, so tell your buddies if they're driving a different car, all they have to do is email me and I'll help them with their eligibility questions.

That's the facts,

- Jack

I used to work in Dumfries/Quantico so I may see if former coworker(s) want to meet for lunch. Otherwise, I would definitely join you guys.
