This thread is kinda pointless, everything comes down to knocking on the cops on this forum lately, makes me sick.

I dont care what the cops are using as cop cars, its because there are to many morons on the road. Noone can own up to their own mistakes anymore, always with the "how to beat the police" threads. How about obeying the law and driving normal, and if you dont, I really dont care what you got pulled over for and I'd rather see you pay the fine and get the points, might teach ya a lesson.

Hell Ive been pulled over more than anyone around here lately, but it was MY FAULT and I never once question the officers judgement in pulling me over or ticketing me, I made my bed and I'm lying in it. DEAL WITH IT, have some accountability.

In my years on this forum, I don't think I've ever seen this many posts about this crap.

I can see what the OP's intention was on creating this thread, but it has taken a misdirection and looks like the pile of crap I dropped last night.

To get back on topic:

I didn't watch the video (it wouldn't load) but I know for a fact that ~1 year ago they put a black 350z out patrolling the roads in NOVA.

I also know for a fact that ~2 years ago they had a GPW S2K patrolling 270.

Saw both of those listed in threads, and also saw them on the road....

It might not be too prevalent, but cops have been doing this for a while - using the cars that have been impounded.

Other unmarked cars off the top of my head that I've seen in the area:
Chargers
Expeditions
Explorers
G6 Coupes
Mustangs
Corvette
Mini Vans (Chrysler Caravan)
Camaros

Careful driving people!!!

hmmmmmmmmm Very interesting guys.

I've personally seen officers do some of these things as well... mostly in DC though. their mentality is different than lets say......Fairfax county police.

Just because they protect the citizens, doesnt mean they have a right to swerve and chat on the phone in dc or what have you.......its THEIR job to prevent this from happening.......and they do it right?

How can a police officer, who is supposed to uphold a law, enforce it, and do the complete opposite when it comes to the road. THEY are supposed be setting an example by NOT doing these things, yet they pull people over for doing it.

I'm a soldier of the United States ARMY. I'm a sergeant. MY JOB SOLEY is to Defend the UNITED STATES.....which includes what? The citizens right? statistics will show.....1 soldier, will encounter more battle in 1 deployment than an officer will in a 20 year time span.

Does that mean since its my job to defend the United States, that i can swerve on the road and rush and speed and expect to get away with it? NO...its not.

I'm speaking on behalf of my family, who are FULL of cops/military, both on my Irish and Korean side. I hear stories all the time. They arent perfect, only human, nobody is. But if your gonna give a ticket for something that you do. You shouldnt be a cop.

I am REALLY surprised to see you post this then. I would have guess that you more than anyone else would know that LEO are only human and are prone to the same things that you and I are.

NONE of us are perfect. How on earth can we ask them to be?

I am not 100% in my job and I doubt anyone is. LEO just have the most unfortunate circumstance of being far more public in their efforts.

I would further pose that we do NOT want perfect LEO. We do not want the caught up in the tiny details of their job that they would be if they were. Are the out there to enforce the rules? Of course. But we all agree that there are a lot of rules that shouldn't be enforced as much as a minority might like. The cell phone thing is a perfect example. It is a great tool to pull over a total asshat for a very legit reason but also a good one to let slide as a warning. Get what I mean?

i'm not bashing cops. my family is full of cops. thats like me telling you not to speed..........and then i go speeding.......what kinda example would i be setting?

Either way.......back on topic...........i personally think its a good idea what the cops are trying to do. We as "spirited drivers" tend to watch out and and can pick out cops because of they drive, so doing this would be a real eye opener! I know for a fact......if i got pulled over by an S2000 cop........i'd be like THAT was the most awesomest thing i ever seen! and i'd tell that cop that too! and gladly take my ticket hahahaha
