DC speeding ticket put points on VA license?

yup. its a DC ticket. It was on Canal Road/pwkway right after Georgetown university .. It was a cop with laser that hit me right as i switch lanes from behind a SUV. if i had stayed behind the suv 5 seconds longer the SUV would of got hit i think.
Looks like on the back of the ticket i can pay the fine and submit an explanation to possibly not have points applied.

You should remove your "shorned nutsack on board" bumpersticker when in DC.
