So when is the next track day? I have self tought myself how to drive and thought i knew alot but this whole heel toe, trailbraking, etc, etc, lingo has me in left field.

Could someone show me how this is all done? I have no problem putting my car on a track of any kind. Just tell me what i have to do with the S2000 to make it track legal and count me in on the event.

Im always willing to learn when it comes to driving. Im on the ship and it wont let me load any of these videos.

By the way thanks for all the great info.

I installed the Autovation pedal set today. First thoughts are that it is a LOT easier to heel toe. I think i can just blip the throttle with the side of my shoe (as opposed to heel) Unfortunately driving on the street is not really a good substitute the amount of braking force applied to the brake pedal on track, so I'm guessing I will have to adapt on track when the brake pedal is pushed down further.

I'll throw my recommendation in there for the Autovation pedals.

This coupon code is good for 20% off at autovation.net 1135060621 it worked the last week of June 2009, not sure about now.

Update after TrackDaze event at Summit Point Main: Heel/Toe on track with the Autovation pedals is very easy. I practiced on the street, but its essentially impossible to recreate the braking force (and pedal depth) on the street if you are using track pads as I am. Bottom line is that it very quickly becomes second nature to roll your foot and blip the throttle with the outside of your shoe with these pedals. Next to Carbotech pads, these pedals have been the best track mod I've done.

glad to hear it! I too found it easy to just roll my foot to blip the throttle. Now that I have an Integra, I've found that the higher steering column and large footbox give me much more room to correctly heel-toe with the stock pedals.

To recap,

There is >1 way to heel toe

Rob has giant feet, opts to use his heel, and has no core strength

Pete has a tiny feet, controls braking with his stomach muscles(?), and possesses kung foo toe control

Both can turn a thread about shifting into an affirmation of their affection for each other in under 5 posts.

Does this sum it up?

This thread...

You guys are a riot.
