So this guy you bought the lip from just happened to have a random OEM lip lying around that he was trying to unload? Did he have/had a S2K? Something about this just seems sketch. I certainly hope it wasn't stolen off another car.

 

You bring up a valid point there Jack. You can't ever be sure when shopping on Craigslist, however I've done a lot of business on CL and there are some sketchy deals I've come across and I usually use my best judgements. There's rarely a guarantee its not stolen or stolen for that matter. It's just the nature of doing business online. I tend to feel out the seller pretty well before buying anything. I believe what goes around comes around. I don't support selling stolen goods (like most of us), but unfortunately there's no solid guarantee it is/is not stolen and our judgement is the best thing we've got!

Yep. I have never seen OEM GPW accessories perfectly match the car. This includes AP2 and CR lips, wings, and side strakes.

 

The guy 'owns' an GPW AP1. He showed me a couple pictures of it but I'm not sure if it's really his or not. But he told me the lip was given to him from a friend of his and he was just trying to get rid of it and I happened to have hopped on it. Hopefully it wasn't a stolen item because that would just kill the vibe I got from this sale.

Thanks for the info on this one. I was considering on getting it painted down the road even though the lip looks freshly painted already. Now I just have to buy the hardware for it and the weather strip and she'll have a bigger smile this summer.
