yeah that sounds about right. It barely weighs 5 pounds but requires a little more coolant to fit the unit and lines.

for anyone considering buying this product, it actually shouldn't be that hard to install (fabricating brackets and such), UNLESS they changed something in '04. i have an ap1 and there was no hardware that came with the core. but there are 2 flanges welded on the side of the core that already had predrilled holes, and they lined up perfectly w/ holes already existing in the car's frame. so it basically took me under 5 minutes to get this thing mounted (that's of course not counting r&r time for the front bumper). and yes, you do have to purchase a longer coolant hose for it to reach. as far as performance, i honestly doubt it will add any power, but definitely add to the "bling" factor. if someone is still running the stock aftercooler radiator, get a temp reading of the tubing right before the throttle body. once i get a chance, i'll do the same and compare if there's a temp difference at all. if anyone is interested, i can take pix if it'll help..

Yeah dude, had to plug the hole in my tire.

Yeah I did put this on a while ago but somewhat needed the thread for instructions so it came alive.

As for the mounting statement, you don't have to drill holes to mount it but I wanted the radiator touching the front bumper and the holes that were drilled were a little further back than I wanted. You also MUST secure the bottom mount or else the unit will tilt, but it does look pretty cool.

I actually like the tilt look like on Drew's car. I will consider making a braket for the bottom. So you do need extra coolant hose, huh? Can get that at Home Depot or such?! Thanks Nick!

yeah i got mine at home depot. Make sure you buy a connector too so you can link it to the original pipe. Also get clamps to tighten them down on the radiator.

You can even use the stock one from the little radiator that came with the kit, just gotta bend it a little.
