Ryan, I have the RX-V1800. Very nice choice.

Comparison
Awesome, I really wanted the RX-V1800, but I waited so long that the 1900 came out. And with that eBay Cash back deal, I couldn't resist!

Skip, have you looked at these?

The problem with these TVs is they're still Rear Projection TVs -- So viewing angle blows. I have an SXRD Rear Projection and I think the image quality is great when you're viewing it right on -- but the vertical viewing angle is horrible. If I stand up the TV gets brighter at the top and darker at the bottom -- granted I'm probably sitting too close to the TV, but if you have a room full of people, somebody can't see the TV perfectly.

The Mitsubishi Laser TV suffers from the same problem -- although the image quality, color reproduction and black levels are said to be insane at optimal viewing angles.

Not that I understood about 80% of what you guys are talking about
I'm with you!

I just put together a system that includes a Denon 989P, I'm still trying to figure this thing out. Things have come a long was since I bought my last receiver.

LCD is straight forward and the computer is good now that I got the sound over HDMI.

HT people.... what do you think of the Denon AVR-789/AVR-1909?

http://www.usa.denon.com/ProductDetails/4560.asp

http://www.thenerds.net/DENON.Denon_AVR_78...e=24-12404155-2 $475 with shipping

I wasn't going to pick up an AVR with the new LCD but my Onkyo is starting to bite the dust and I'm digging the upscaling to 1080p and Audyssey stuff.
If you want upscaling to 1080p, Audessy2, better sound decoding, and 4 HDMI inputs, you should actually stick with Onkyo. The Onkyo TX-SR706 is an excellent receiver that has had nearly universally good reviews and is in a similar price range. I just bought one a couple weeks ago and have had nothing but a positive experience so far.

I do not see where that receiver decodes the lossless codecs. It allows for them to be played "as is" from the player as is the case for my Denon(I misspoke earlier).
