1) Yes, we could. Between gaming and BD movies, it would probably need to be overhauled by March.

2) I'll let someone who knows me answer that one.
I'll take the answer to #2 is yes.

What to do, Skip?

YOU'RE ASKIN'..."WHAT TO DO???!!!"

Just create threads like this to tortureme!!! THAT seems to be a pretty good thing to do! ...

All ya'll PS3-pre-order-eBay-flippin' fockers are tearin' my guts inside out . ALL I want is to have a PS3 to go with my spanky new Sammy . But NOoooooooooOOoooOOOooooo... I had to be #14 in a TRU campout pre-purchase of 6...that's right, ONLY 6 PS3 pre-order tickets. Crrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyy...

So it looks like March '07 or later for moi... Ain't no frellin' way I'm shellin' stupid-$$$ over MSRP on one of these. $600 is mooooore than enough, thanks anyway .

That said......I did make my TRU overnight sidewalk visit somewhat worthwhile I guess. I left with a pre-purchase on a Wii and picked up a TMX too. I was considering flippin' the TMX on eBay...but since the wife and I usually do the Angel Tree during the holidays, I think I might just go that route and truly make a kid's Christmas .

- Dave

PS(3)... I still think ya'll PS3 pre-order owners blow chunks ...

I was thinking on buying some PS3 to resell on E-bay. However this may not work as well as many people thinks. Every other person that I know is doing this, and you will see E-bay filled of PS3 for sale, making the price go down.
I know this happened with the Xbox 360, but that was a different situation, the release of the 360 was pushed to get it out for Christmas. The 360 had laser problems and Microsoft pull back many units so they did not have enough units to satisfy the demand.
The PS3 was HOLD to be released now for the holidays. Believe me SONY knows about what happen with the 360 and they DO NOT WANT other people to profit from their systems!!!! And they are going to make sure that they will have enough systems to satisfy the demand.
So if you are planning to buy 10 to sell online for $100,000 like someone said

I don't agree an2ny... Although I understand what you're suggesting, I don't believe Sony (or any company) gives a rat's-arse what a 're-'seller gets for their product. Sony's obligation is to selling their inventory of PS3s. And if they sell it to you for $600...then their objective is completed. They have made the sale. What you do with it after that sale?...why would they care?

I would add...that Sony doesn't even *care* about its customers after the fact. Although I want a PS3 (with all its undoubted initial flaws/glitches)...Sony's history of customer support of glitches with the initial PS, the PS2, as well as PSP indicts them once again as being a company that cares little once they have the cold...hard...cash.

Just my two pennies. No flame intended.

If SONY planed things like I think they did, you will be able to go into any retail store any day and buy a system for the selling price.
PS3 wasnt held for the holidays, it was pushed back due to many problems(hardware supply issues, etc) . In fact, it wont be released in Europe untill after the holidays(march).

They are actually supplying 1/4 or less of the units originally scheduled for launch.

good luck walking into a store and buying one any time soon.

I do not want a PS3, and do not plan to go and buy one anytime soon either.
Yes, apparently the blue laser diode shortage has delayed the launch number of the PS3, only 400,000 units for the US
The question is how quickly Sony can get more PS3s on the shelves after the launch

Hey bud, I said 100,000 systems, not $100,000. Read the post first, then speak.

Ohh you meant to say 100,000 systems...
Cool, my bad
