Default Soft Top Replacement in SoVA

It looks like I'll need to fix or replace the top on my '03. I'm going to take her down to Wynn's in Chesapeake and get an estimate, but anyone else have any other shops they'd recommend? Or is this something I could do with the help of a mechanically inclined type?

I went to Wynn's and was pleased with their work. It was expensive, but it was done right. The new electron top seems a bit thicker and sturdier. That was before I'd heard about softtop guy though.

I got a quote from Young's Upholstery http://youngsupholstery.com/ , and they were about $1500, since I decided to go with a cloth top, which was about $100 more than vinyl. They use the Robbins or the EZ-On, but the EZ-On has a five year warranty, so that's their preferred. $600 less than Wynn's and about a grand less than dealer... yeah. Their work looked good too, there was a BMW for CarMAX in front when I got there, and it looked nice. Also got them as a suggestion from a body shop guy.
So I got the top ordered, and they'll need two days in the shop to put it in. I haven't gotten a response from Softtop guy, and since she's my daily driver, I can't necessarily wait for a reply and until he's up this way again. Plus that pricing is pretty decent I think.

I installed my Robbins top with the help of a friend. The labor only cost me a pizza and a six pack of beer.

If youre looking to save a couple $$ let me know and I could help out with the install and have the car done in about 5-6 hours, not 2 days. Done about 12 of them so far and just did one last weekend for a member in del Val.

Got it scheduled with SoftTopGuy for soon. ^___^ Thanks for the advice and offers, I'll post pics of the finished job after it's done.

Congrats on getting it scheduled with him. I tried contacting him numerous times to schedule an soft-top install for a 350Z friend of mine down there but never got a firm response. Hopefully, things work out better for you.
