I'm not trying to bust balls here...I just can't believe how cavalier some folks are about doing something that's not very honest.

Think about the last time you made a purchase thinking something was NEW and when you got home and opened it, realized it was already used. Have we done it, of course...in my younger (dumber) days, I did. Nowadays, I don't. Only if what I bought doesn't work.

I guess I coulda communicated _my_ feeling a little different.

I've been having some shitty days too man...so I'm glad I could make your day a little better.
Thanks but yea I agree. I no longer do it. It was my younger days (I was 20), I'm now almost 24. Yea I know it doesn't mean much.

Just a little background to make more sense. I was doing a timing belt change (along with water pump, and other misc stuff) on my daily driver. I had the entire car taken apart and was attempting to remove the timing belt sprocket off the crank. Sucker would not move. I was not about to put it back together to drive it to a shop to pay them to take it back apart to remove one bolt. No rental places rented out impact guns (home dept, lowes, pep boys, advance, etc). I spent an hour flipping through the phone book. I called all my friends who I knew had impacts, none surpassed what I had in my garage. I was not going to "buy" a new impact to remove 1 bolt. I know it would have been a nice excuse but on my budget back in that day, it wasn't happening. I used it for literally 45 seconds. (slap on a socket, plug it up, pull the trigger, put it back in the box).

Hope it gives you a better picture. Plus, Sears return policy even says, if you are not happy with the quality of functionality of your product within 30 days, return it. It's not like they said you can't use it during the 30 days.

Finally got it done....I had a friend that help and that was a big help. (Doing this by yourself may seen impossible.) It took about 4 hours and there are so many tight areas that makes it difficult to to specially when you can't see the bolts and its all done by one hand and sometimes 2 fingers.

We first took out the supercharged pipe and the alternator. (I didnt have to take out the auto tensioner since we got the starter from the bottom.) You gotta wiggle and turn to get the alternator out. Next, it was hard to locate the starters top bolt which we had to look from the top which took like 20 mins to locate.(you may think its hard to see but you gotta just stick your head in and look carefully. The hardest part is the starter which was a bitch taking out and putting back the groundwire plug. thats where the 2 finger comes in cause you gotta pull back the rubber cover to make sure its in correctly.

I managed to get all the bolts back to the right spot. and I think i read on one of the forum that you can leave the top bolt off on the starter since its hard to see. There ares a small little trick which you can spare or tape a bright color around it so you can locate it looking from the top and use a long extention to get it.

After I was done the car still didnt start but I do hear it crank now, so we found out that the battery was leakin acid ( I think....was kinda dark) so I swap my battery for my mom battery in her Crv, and magic happened..........Wheeeewwwww. That was a hell of a job, no wonder honda charges 650 bucks to do it. Thank for all your help guys......

Glad you got it worked out, now go put your moms battery back and get yourself a new battery. I'd recommend an optima.
