Windshield repair
Hello,
Going against traffic on 495 is good, except when all the trucks kick up big pieces of salt/stones at 75mph. Oh well, can't have everything.
I have a good sized ding in my windshield now, but it doesn't
appear to be spreading. Anyone know of a good repair service?
Also, assuming insurance would cover it, when is it just better to get a new one? Is there any wear and tear on the car replacing them? Reading the other groups I see they are pretty expensive. Any reason to assume the average replacement service wouldn't be any good?
Thanks!

My wife's old toyota pickup had a crack. Some windshield repair company came out and repaired it on the spot for $25. Couldn't tell it was there afterwards. It was in San Bernardino, and I didn't get to see what they did. Call around to the dealers and see if they know someone.
On another note, does anyone know of a company (maybe this would be the same people) who could repair the tiny little pits in the windshield you accumulate from the smaller stones that hit the windshield?
