unfortunately, i don't have a replacement recommendation, but i take it the crack is not something that can be repaired? if it's not that big (i forget the rule of thumb, maybe someone can chime in) or isn't in your line of vision, most insurance companies will waive your deductible and you can get it fixed at no cost to you. my previous car's windshield was fixed about 6 or 7 times and never needed to be replaced, the key though is to get it fixed before it starts to spiderweb and spread

They should be able to fill it in. Call your insurance company, and they should be able to send someone out to fix it for you at no cost.

I was very pleased with Safelite Autoglass the two times I used them. Last time I called them they came to my house, repaired two chips in my wife's car and one in mine. They even dealt with my insurance company and I paid nothing for any of the repairs. I would try a repair before a replacement since the repair will most likely be free with your insurance coverage. A replacement may change your annual insurance cost since most insurance companies seem to make a claim for a replacement.

Dylan,

Hell yeah! Do it now or pay later.

i bet it can be filled in ... i had a big rock chip that looked almost like someone shot a bb at me and amazingly it was fixable. after that, i was like "damn, if they can fix that, just about anything can be fixed." when you call your insurance, they'll probably ask you two questions, is it in your line of vision and is it less than x inches across (i wanna say 2" across, but can't remember). again, all this is done free, with no cost to you and did not affect my rates, and most windshield places will send a guy out to you if you want. very painless, take it from someone who's had it done numerous times. i had a guy meet me at work once and he fixed it in like 15 minutes. none of my "crack" repairs ever needed re-fixing also, and i owned the car for 12 yrs. only one guy out of the 6 or 7 times tried to get me to replace my windshield (more $$ for him, i guess), so just watch out for that. i've heard that once you replace your OEM windshield, depending on certain things like glass manufacturer and whether installation/sealing was done properly, sometimes it's never quite the same and can crack more often.

I just had mine replaced by royal glass about 2 months ago for ~$300. large impact crater near the vin tag that expanded halfway across the windshield on the first frost.
