Out of $850B, there is only $426 million in small business loans.

But hey, there is $650 million for Digital-to-Analog Converter Box Program. God forbid people don't get digital TV.
According to the Nielsen Ratings people, more than 9 million homes were not ready for the conversion as of October 15, 2008.

That's about $72/household.

There are about 27.2million small businesses in the US (as of 2007).

That's $15 per small business.

Some freakin' stimulus bill, isn't it?

sorry you disagree Bill and feel you can not trust our President - it's gonna be a tough 8 years for you
Nope, not tough for me Steve. I'm in good shape. I'll certainly be able to get though the next four years.

as for corporate growth - please explain what the first 350 BILLION did to help - because no one has seen it
Well, as far as economic stimulus the last go-around, my company got a $14B contract. As a result, we're hiring. By the hundreds. Even as we speak, I see an interviewee in a suit with a temp badge being walked around.

Nope, Government Contractor. 100% of our business is ultimately FOR the government, but it is a separate company.

Incidentally, Reagan never announced a government stimulus package but spent a boatload and then some on military buildup, star wars etc. which in essence kicked started the economy in the 80's.

What also concerns me is that these monies that are given to various gov't programs/services will be expected as part of their budget next year and so on. This is not a 'one-time deal'.
