I was summarizing the post for Rick. When I got to the part of the oil cooling off, he already knew in advance not to cover the oil while it was cooling so as not to have to deal with the mositure again.

I think he must have tried Bill's suggestion in a past life.

I was going to add a paragraph about the water reacting with the products of combustion that get trapped in the oil, forming acid and how you have to do a ph test first, but I didn't think anyone would believe the part about adding baking soda to your oil to neutralize the acid.

Just drive it, JJARVIS, it's fine. There really is no break in oil but Honda does recommend leaving in the initial fill. "General informed concensus" around here is that yes, there is a high moly content in the oil. This high moly content comes from lubricants used during engine assembly. Honda wants those in there for a while.
