Verizon said they would have an answer for me in 48 hours. Today around hour 45, I called them. They said they had no record of a resolution in the file.

Around hour 47, I went by my Mom's house. The DSL light was still blinking on the modem. Not good. I unplugged the modem and checked it in another phone jack. All was well and the DSL light was no longer blinking.

I plugged it back in where the computer is and it worked. Either the 10th unplugging and re-plugging in the modem worked, or Verizon resolved the situation right after I walked in the door.

Either way, my 83 year old Mom will now have faster internet speed for her "Pogo games."

 

When Mom is happpy, everyone is happy.

 

I'm glad it all worked out, I use Verizon too.
