I have NEVER, EVER understood the reason for a big wedding. IMHO, it's a HUGE waste of money. The bride spends countless hours planning this, stressing out, trying to make a "perfect day" only to barely have time to enjoy it. I guarantee you every bride does a ton of
while planning the "perfect day."
while planning the "perfect day." barb didn't stress at all. ( ask her to see if shares my opinion
)poured cats and dogs when we got married, didn't matter we had a ball.

my thoughts exactly
why waste that much money on something that has a 50% chance of failing

How about assigned seating? I remember my daughter in law stressing over that one....and when my niece was planning her wedding she had people telling her, "I don't want to sit with so and so."
I had fun with the seating charts... I put 3 of my Honda and Mac enthusiasts at the same table and they all hit it off well. Two of them who had never met had alot in common.
I did not stress out that much but I am very super organized geek
I enjoy that type of thing... I considered being some type of planner for a living for awhile but I just can't stand being on the telephone that much.
Someone (Bob?) said about spending money... if it makes you happy it's not a waste.
I think that most women want a big wedding as a social thing... my wedding was bigger, fancier, more expensive, "better", etc than yours. And men usually want the same type of thing for cars, houses, prettiest wife/gf, possessions, etc to show off.
I just want my own race track

Ellen, they're building a road course in Palmer MA. I think its slated for a 2010 opening?

Cool, SCCA "approved"...
The facility would include a road course (a paved surface simulating a winding road) approximately 2 miles in length and 40 feet in width, with large grassy aprons for safety.
Did not even have a permit yet in July 07 though... no other news after that

Well, they already have a house, and that's just how my sister lives. It makes me cry too Doug....
I'm right there with ya.
Oh what I could do to my house and garage with $40k...

A waste to you might not be to someone else.
I sure wish I could be that good to the economy.

I would no longer need to borrow Kentas hard top for one

Or maybe I would be sensible and actually buy a house... I do miss having a house. I was SO depressed watching Extreme Home Makeover last week

More than likely I would payoff my car first
