i know you havent tried an ap2 model but what are your thoughts on gains?
same as an ap1
same as an ap1
when I find some time I was going to put my unit back in and do some dyno runs.
I however have a request to get some runs in on the stock comp with the Mugen cooling mods (radiator cap, thermostat, fanswitch, and radiator core)
then another set of runs with the Mugen 2.2L header installed
and now all the Mugen stuff + the ULT
Was "deppenma" new user ID "MugenRioS2k"

alright well my ap2 is a virgin ( no mods)
how far out of tune would the car be if an intake or exhaust was installed after the tune?
im thinking not much considering the gains they give are a few hp

Such things as intakes actually cause the stock tune to run leaner at a specific rpm due to the resonant frequency of the intake causing more air to be pressured into the engine. In most cases ignition timing will need to be pulled in this area.
Changing the exhaust may allow for more scavenging and hence allow a little more air into the cylinder than before so running a little leaner but only by a tiny amount.
But, the above are nothing that cannot be adjusted for quickly on the dyno, or the initial tune created to allow for a guess of what these things will do. I always add a safety margin, so I would just make the margin a little bigger
