Plus the EMU is not able "to learn", like the ECU is.
It only does what you tell it to do > that is the programing and the dip switches
Am I correct?
Technically it can learn, but only when enabled and hooked to a wideband which we don't use as it is not necessary.

The dip switches can be assigned to tables within the e-Manage to switch them on and off. We use that ability to be able to provide multiple 'tunes' in a single unit.

Giles,

I have a question regarding using an Emanage with Kraftwerks' recently introduced supercharger kits. This issue has been brought up before, but since the details on the three kits have been more or less finalized and published, I thought I'd ask. If my questions seem stupid, I apologize

Kraftwerks is releasing three kits:

1) Base kit = 650 cc injectors, adjust fuel/timing & VTEC window (reflash by Hondata)
2) High kit = same as above with different pulley and different tuning (still via Hondata reflash)
3) 'You tune' = same as the #2 high kit, but without injectors or reflashed ECU

I figure that the EU can definitely work in the first two kits. However, in the third case, would the EU work?

That is, by installing the s/c kit, larger injectors (of your choice), and using the stock ECU, would one be able to use the EU to tune it? I know standalones definately work, but options are lmited for MY06+.

The 'you tune' kit is $1,000 cheaper than #2, and if one were able to use the EU as opposed to the Hondata reflash, I'm sure it would be a selling point for the EU. In addition, one could customize their tune rather than to a generic tune based off a test car.

Also if it does work, will be able to fix any CELs?

Thanks.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. The EU is used to tune for the Greddy Kit... so I think it would be fine. FI is FI no matter which way it comes. The differences would be the amount of boost being run, when boost comes in, etc.

It makes sense to me too, but just wanted to make sure. There's a very small chance I MIGHT preorder the 'you-tune' kit. Probably not, but maybe

I agree.
Only thing is you won't be able to use the pre-tuned EMU, since that is programmed for NA.

btw: please tell me also 'bout your money tree
